A family-owned business, our story began in 1945, when Nathaniel Pasarell and his son Charles M. Pasarell started Puerto Rico Supplies as a paper and tobacco distribution company.
The company remained so, until Edwin Pérez joined the business as president and managing partner in 1998, when he started a strong portfolio diversification with the acquisition of Borden Foods and an extensive infrastructure expansion to become a top food distributor.
Our great story begins with Nathaniel Pasarell and his son Charles.
Charlie Pasarell becomes President of Puerto Rico Supplies (PRS).
PRS acquires distribution rights for Newport brand from Lorillard Tobacco.
Edwin Perez joins the company as President and Jr. Partner. PRS acquires Borden Foods.
PRS acquires D’Jesco brands which include Country Crock, Lean Cuisine & Stouffer’s.
PRS acquires the distribution of Ponce Candy brands such as Charms, Fiesta & Arcor.
Edwin Perez acquires the total shares of PRS evolving into Puerto Rico Supplies Group, Inc.
F. Pont Flores and Caribbean Snacks brands are bought.

In 2006, Edwin Pérez acquired the company and transformed it into Puerto Rico Supplies Group. Backed by his family as heads of divisions, top level executives and the most passionate workforce in the island a new era of dynamic growth began.
Brand acquisitions and partnerships for the distribution of top brands followed and continue to this day including Ferrero, Johnson & Johnson, Bacardi, SC Johnson, Unilever, RAI & ITGB, Mondelez, Hershey, Hasbro and Mattel, among others.
Consequently, the company has built the strongest and widest portfolio with selected health & beauty care products, prestige fragrances, food, wine and spirits, tobacco, home care, salty and sweet snacks and toys.
Alongside, between 2012 and 2014 a new path of diversification commenced by entering in new enterprises such as manufacturing with Caribbean Snacks and More, in fresh fruit and vegetable distribution with Agro Produce and in farming with Agro Banana.
New ventures also started in retail with the acquisition of the Preciosa beauty & cosmetic stores in 2013 and the creation of Toys4Fun in 2018.
Puerto Rico Supplies Group continues to grow encompassing new ventures such as an Export Division and Third Party Logistics Services.
