Origins
The family-owned business began in 1945 with Nathaniel Pasarell and his son, Charles. In 1998, Edwin Pérez joined as president and managing partner, starting a strong portfolio diversification and an extensive infrastructure expansion. In 2006, he bought the company, transforming it into Puerto Rico’s top distributor by furthering growth and pioneering innovation.

Healthtex Distributors, Inc., based in Miami, is the other stronghold of PRSG’s "Caribbean Triangle". Its wholesale/distribution and import of consumer goods is focused on the Hispanic market in the U.S. As with Dicarina it opened a door for synergies in the distribution of each other's company brands.

Dicarina, a leading distributor of consumer goods in Panama, forms part of Puerto Rico Supplies Group’s (PRSG) expansion into the Caribbean Region, "The Caribbean Triangle". This partnership strengthens the regional presence of PRSG’s own brands and creates powerful synergies, as both renowned companies represent market-leading consumer brands.
Other Ventures
Between 2012 and 2014, new affiliated businesses arose bringing manufacturing with Caribbean Snacks, fresh produce distribution with Agro Produce, and farming with Agro Banana. The company also ventured into the retail sector with Preciosa stores dedicated to prestige fragrances and cosmetics. Its growth continues with the development of an Export Division and Third-Party Logistics Services.
